Sheena Wilkinson

Sheena Wilkinson, award winning author of Star by Star, a tale of suffragettes in Ireland as the war comes to a close, will deliver a talk on historical fiction of the early 20th century, with particular emphasis on cultural identity and feminism.

Sheena Wilkinson will discuss her new work, Star by Star, and historical fiction of the early 20th century, in this special event, titled 'Suffragettes and Soldiers'. 

Described in The Irish Times as ‘one of our foremost writers for young people’, Sheena writes contemporary and historical fiction.

Her latest work, ‘Star by Star’, is a tale of suffragettes and heroes, courage and survival, set at the end of the First World War as flu sweeps the land and women earn the right to vote. 

Copies of Star by Star will be available to purchase at the event.
