The Partition of Ireland and the Formation of Northern Ireland

The partition of Ireland and the Formation of Northern Ireland is free to participants and will look at such topics as the King's Speech to the opening of the Northern Ireland parliament, the historic first meeting of James Craig and Eamon De Valera in May 1921 and the impact of the partition of Ireland on nationalist and unionist women.
A highly respected panel of guest speakers has been secured for the conference including noted political historian and broadcaster, Dr Éamon Phoenix, political historian and former Omagh Academy teacher, Dr Russell Rees and Dr Margaret Ward, Academic and Author, who is a lecturer at Queen’s University, Belfast.
This event is free and will take place online on Tuesday 22nd June between 10am-12.30pm.
