Northern Ireland Centenary Wall opens at Siege Museum
10 September 2021
The Siege Museum was pleased to officially open the Centennial Wall situated on the reception floor of the museum on Saturday 24th July.
The Wall depicts the Prime Ministers of Northern Ireland and events associated with their time in office and the City of Londonderry.
This has been a fascinating insight into particularly the early years of Northern Ireland and Londonderry. We focused on the Prime Ministers to remind generations of a period of which few today have any recollection, and to relate names that many of us know to events. through the decades. Thanks to Dr. David Hume for researching and compiling the information on the panels, and to Linda Ming and Ann Duffy from Libraries N.I. for their guidance. - Billy Moore, Chairman of the Siege Museum
