Belfast News-Letter, 13 June 1921
On 22 June 1921, King George V visited Belfast to conduct the state opening of the Northern Ireland Parliament at Belfast City Hall. Nine days before this event, Joseph McMaster published an advert on the front page of the Belfast News-Letter encouraging the paper’s readers to paint their premises in advance of the royal visit. The front page also included adverts for Dickson’s Umbrellas, McAlisters Ltd. frocks and Sharman D. Neill Ltd. Jewellers.
