In December 2020 the Embassy of Ireland in London hosted the ‘Centenary Conversation’, a panel discussion marking the centenary of the 1920 Government of Ireland Act.

The panel brought together Patricia Clavin, Caoimhe Nic Dháibhéid, Niamh Gallagher and Ian McBride, leading historians of modern Ireland.

They discussed the context that led to the act’s passage in 1920, its impact and legacy across the islands of Ireland and Great Britain.
