Entwined Histories: Common Histories, Uncommon Remembrance
Co-operation Ireland have published their guide to promoting cross-community remembrance while exploring the Decade of Centenaries.
The objective of the Entwined Histories programme is to promote a common understanding of past events in our shared history, challenging myths and increasing appreciation for different perspectives, and to explore how past events continue to influence attitudes and behaviours today.
The project provides opportunities for young people from a range of cultural, political and economic backgrounds to:
Develop greater understanding of the complexity of Irish history, with greater recognition of commonality and shared experiences
Develop greater understanding of how the past continues to influence current attitudes, opinions, and behaviours
